The Problem:
A young family reached out, wanting their suburban home to be a minimalist masterpiece. The twist? It had to be kid-friendly without feeling sterile.
My Approach:
Minimalism isn’t about having less, it’s about creating space for what matters. I focused on maximizing functionality while keeping the design clean and uncluttered. Hidden storage and multi-purpose furniture became my best friends on this project.
The Vision:
The idea was to create a blank canvas for the family’s colorful moments. The spaces were designed to be airy and open, allowing their personality to shine through in the decor and mementos they chose to display.
The Technical Details:
The home features radiant floor heating, smart lighting systems, and concealed HVAC vents for a seamless look. I chose materials that were both elegant and child-friendly, like quartz countertops and matte-finish hardwood floors. A hidden play nook under the staircase added a touch of whimsy and practicality.
This home is proof that minimalism can be warm, inviting, and family-friendly.
